bio
Chris is a San Francisco based singer/songwriter. He has many influences and grew up with the sounds of his parent’s record collection filling their Sunnyvale, California home; Simon and Garfunkel, Neil Diamond, John Denver, to name a few. When his paper route allowed him to earn money for his own collection he populated it with Cheap Trick, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Kiss, AC/DC, and Queen.
“Music has always been incredibly important to who I am. It makes me feel alive and it motivates me tremendously.” Chris spent many years travelling to Nashville to write and pitch songs on “Music Row”. “My goal was to have other artists record my songs but over time I realized I also wanted to sing the songs I wrote. That was a powerful moment for me.” He has since released the albums What Drives You in 2009, Hermosilla in 2010, and his latest release March in 2011.
March is a collection of songs Chris was compelled to write while witnessing the courage and dignity that Chris’ youngest brother Terrence exhibited during a nearly 6 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Terrence died in February of 2011. The album is a moving tribute to his brother (that’s Terrence in flight on the jacket cover) and the theme of gratitude is a prominent one. “Terrence was grateful to the very end and gratitude has become my mantra; how I will carry his spirit forward.”
“I will continue to evolve as an artist and explore every musical direction that interests me.”
