PRODUCTION NOTES

BLACKBIRD STUDIO D SESSIONS was a project in which I wanted to videotape some of my songs I’ve recorded over the years in a live performance setting. The legendary Blackbird Studio D was the perfect place. I asked some of the collaborators I’ve made music with over the years (co-writers, singers, friends) to sing a few of the songs. Each song on which I had a fellow artist sing begins with a little video clip about the tune. My friend and co-writer, CHRIS CAMINITI, sings ACROSS HIS BACK. The talented singer/songwriter JESSIE PARKER sings THE BULLET. My friend, co-writer, and artist in his own right, KENT AGEE, sings our song THE ANSWERS. NATHAN LEE, my friend and founder of SEND MUSICIANS TO PRISON-bringing music of hope and restoration to the incarcerated, sings ALL TOO HUMAN. I was blessed, as I have been so many times, to have world-class musicians (pictured below) on this project. There is also short video interview with one of Nashville’s finest producers and musicians, TIM LAUER. Tim produced these sessions and has produced five other music projects of mine since 2011. I’m so fortunate to make music with these superb artists, as well as call them friends.
